Common names: glauber's salt; sulphate of soda.
It corresponds to the hydrogenoid constitution and sycotic dyscrasia (D.).
Feels every change from dry to wet weather, and cannot eat even plants that grow near water (Bl.).
Chilly, can't get warm, even in bed (B.).
Meningitis (Apis, Bell., Cupr., Glon.) (B.).
Crushing or gnawing in the occiput (B.).
Chronic effects of blows, falls, etc. (Arn.) (N.).
Ill-effects of falls and injuries to the head, and mental troubles arising therefrom (D.).
Slow digestion (Carb-V., Chin., Hep., Lyc., Nux-V., Puls., Sep.) (B.).
A dirty, brownish coating on the tongue (Bry., Nat-P.) (D.).
Bitter taste in the mouth (Bry., Chin., Nat-M., Nux-V., Puls., Sep., Sulph.) (D.).

Useful in asthma, worse upon change to damp weather. Moist asthma, with a great deal of rattling on the chest. The shortness of breath is especially worse in damp weather (D.).

The sputum is copious and of a greenish colour (Puls., Stann.) (Bl.).
Humid asthma, especially in children (Ant-T., Brom., Hep., Kali-S.) (Bl.).
Granular conjunctivitis with much redness of the lids (Sulph.) (R.).
Pain in the eyes in the evening when reading by candle light (Merc.) (R.).
Agglutination of the lids in the morning with photophobia (Calc., Graph.) (R.).

Urine copious, and passed more frequently than normal; so that she had to get up several times in the night (R.).
It is one of the principal remedies in sycosis, especially where there are condylomata (D.).
GONORRHOEA: YELLOWISH GREEN DISCHARGE; THICK CONSISTENCY; LITTLE PAIN; ESPECIALLY IN HYDROGENOID CONSTITUTION (N.).
Sexual desire excited in the evening (C.).
Burning in the urethra during micturition (Canth., Merc., Sulph.) (R.).
Urine with brick-dust sediment (Berb., Lyc., Sars.) (R.).
Enlarged prostate causing retention of urine (Con., Dig., Hep., Kali-C., Lyc., Pareir., Staph., Thuj.) (R.).
