Common name: silver.
Has strong effects upon the secretions of the mucous membranes (Hydr., Kali-B., Nat-M., Puls., Rhus-T.). Produces spasms, which simulate those of epilepsy. The attacks are followed by delirious rage (Stram.). The patient jumps about and tries to strike those near him (Bell., Canth., Stram.) (F.).
Sensation of soreness and rawness in the internal organs (Caust.).
Spasmodic twitching of the heart muscle, particularly when lying on his back (F.).
BAD EFFECTS FROM ONANISM (Bufo, Calad., Calc., Con., Kali-P., Nux-V., Staph.).

Laughing produces mucus in the larynx, and excites cough (Phos.) (C.).
AGGRAVATION: Towards noon; from riding in a carriage; when touched or pressed upon; and from laughing, talking, singing or reading aloud.
AMELIORATION: In the open air; from taking rest; and from keeping quiet.
RELATIONSHIP. Antidotes: Merc., and Puls.
