Frequent confusion of the head in the morning, and heaviness in the region of the eyebrows, 1.

Toothache like a constant settled pain, as if something had got into a hollow tooth, only transiently relieved by cold water, with drawing behind the ear and into the head, at last jerking in the tooth and disappearance of the pain, 1.

THROAT
Objective.
Much mucus in the back of the throat , which is only loosened after much hawking, 5.*
Much mucus in the throat, especially in the morning, 4.
Frequently much mucus in the throat (first three days), 1. [490.]
Tenacious mucus in the back of the throat, in the morning, which can be neither completely swallowed nor hawked up, with a constant sensation as though a lump of mucus were sticking in the throat (sixteenth day), 1.
On waking in the morning, feeling of a little lump in front of the throat about the root of the tongue, worse on swallowing saliva, which makes it smart; better on swallowing food, which makes it seem to go lower; worse after singing in evening, 8.
Something like a plug sticking in the throat, which is loosened by the cough, and the larynx becomes free, 1.
Soreness of throat, worse on swallowing saliva, better by swallowing food, came on in the evening and lasted all night; soreness next evening, worse after singing, 8.

Sore throat, with difficult swallowing and difficult opening of the mouth, 1.

Burning in the urethra, after urinating (after five days), 1.
Burning and biting in the orifice of the urethra and upper portion of the internal prepuce in the morning in bed, soon after urinating (twentieth and twenty-first days), 2.
Frequent drawing and sharp tearing in the forepart of the urethra (eighteenth and nineteenth days), 2.
Intermitting cutting in the urethra, when not urinating, 2.
Pinching tearing in the urethra (after twelve days), 1.
Urging to urinate, it is a long time, however, before he can do so; the urine flows very slowly, 1. [870.]
She is obliged to urinate frequently, only a little every time, but always followed by renewed desire, which is almost painful (after forty-eight hours), 1.

Pinching pain in or by the heart, as if the heart were hanging by tightly drawn bands; mostly noticed on deep inspiration or coughing, not on motion of the body (after a few hours), 1.
Stiffness in the nape of the neck , with elongation of the uvula, 3.
Increased stiffness of neck, with pain in sides of neck and back of neck, compelling her to move it, though movement increased the pain, 8.
On waking in night or morning, feels the neck stiff, which goes off after moving about, 8.
If she wakes at night the neck, arms, and shoulders feel more stiff than at any other time, 8. [1090.]
Neck quite stiff, unable to move it any way or to lie down from it; stiffness extends down back; shoulders feel heavy; at the same time tonsils feels swollen as if touching, causing feeling of suffocation; worse on lying down; the stiffness and swollen feeling of tonsils always come on together, 8.
Pain in the nape of the neck, on bending the head backward, 1.
Both arms fall asleep and become stiff in the cold; even after violent exercise they fall asleep, 1.
The arms fall asleep in the morning in bed, with a sensation of internal pressure, as if stiff and lame, they and the hands are without sensation for half an hour, 1.
The arm upon which he is lying at night falls asleep, 1.
In the cold air the arms lose their warmth, the sensation becomes blunted and they feel almost asleep, 1.
Rheumatic pains in arms, especially the right, also in back, chest, and shoulders; worse on moving them, 8.

Hip.
Weak, weary, and bruised in the hips and limbs, especially in the calves, on walking (thirteenth day), 1.
Stitches, fine, but very acute, in the left hip-joint while standing; after sitting down, there is a sticking-tearing down the whole leg, as if in the marrow, which disappears after rising from the seat, 5.
Tearing, at times crawling, in the hips or in the parts enveloping them (nineteenth, twenty-first, and thirtieth days), 2.
Tearing in the hips and knees even while sitting, 1.
Tearing pain in the left hip from time to time, 1.
Attack of weakness, on returning from a moderate walk, so violent that she could with difficulty reach the house, therewith she became warm in the stomach, drops of sweat stood upon the forehead (in winter) and the limbs trembled; after a short rest all weakness passed of, 1.
Attack of sudden weakness, in the evening on lying down, with an aching sensation, nausea, warmth and weakness in the pit of the stomach, vertigo and vanishing of ideas from the head; also, two similar attacks in the morning, followed by great weariness, 1.
A child four years old constantly desires to be carried, 1.
Exhaustion and weariness, in the evening, almost amounting to nausea, 2.

Attack of exhaustion of the whole body, especially in the small of the back, the cervical muscles seem relaxed, the arms and legs relaxed as if they would sink down, together with weakness about the heart like a faintness (after a few hours), 1. [1440.]
Attack of faintness as soon as he moves but little, 1.
A week before the occurrence of menstruation, restlessness as if the menses would appear (sixteenth day), 1.
Subjective.
The whole body is very sensitive; whenever touched or moved it hurts (third and fourth days), 5.

SKIN
Eruptions, Dry.
Papulous eruption here and there, even on the face, 6.
The whole body moves in sleep two nights in succession, as in epilepsy, with jerking of the arms and stamping of the feet, though without rattling respiration; after waking he knows nothing of it, 1.
Chilliness on every motion, even in bed (first days), 5.
Chilliness for two hours, without thirst, with confusion of the head, while riding over a stony road, 1.
At first chilliness, followed by heat of the face (after two days), 6.
Chilliness and sensation of coldness, in the morning, in bed, followed after a quarter of an hour by heat; again chilliness after a few hours, though without subsequent heat, 1.
Chilliness in the forenoon; hot hands in the evening, 1.

Internal chilliness at noon, with heat of the hands and subsequent heat over the body, though all without thirst, 1.
Constant internal chilliness for four days, without heat or thirst, with icy cold feet, confusion of the head, general prostration amounting to faintness; with swelling of the lower jaw and gum, and burning toothache, with stitches (after thirty-two days), 1.
Chilly and shivery, in the evening before lying down, 5.
Excessive febrile chill, towards evening, lasting several minutes; he is obliged to lie down; followed by nausea, vomiting, and cramplike pain in the chest the whole night, with short breath, much internal anxiety and much perspiration on the head (sixth day), 1.
Daily at 6 P.M., first febrile chill for an hour, with thirst; then heat, without thirst, with profuse fluent coryza; followed by slight perspiration during a natural sleep; on the subsequent morning scraping in the throat, bad taste in the mouth, loss of appetite, and agglutination of the left eye, .

( Forenoon ), Pain in whole head; drawing in forehead ; pain in left teeth; thirst; nausea; chilliness; shivering, etc.
( Noon ), Peevish mood; pressure upon eyes.
( Afternoon ), While walking, pressive headache in forehead, etc .; nose thick, etc.; towards evening, anxiety in chest; stitches in costal regions; weary in thighs; towards evening, chilliness, etc.; at 6 o'clock, febrile chill, etc.; heat, etc.; about 5 o'clock, febrile heat, etc.

13 , Cloquet, from Wibmer (Orfila), a young man took a spoonful in the morning; 14 , Andrew Derver, Edin. Med. and Surg. Journ., vol. xxx, 1828, p. 310, alittle boy drank about 3 ounces of a strong solution; 15 , same, Mrs. ---, who had been all day indulging freely in whiskey, drank a wineglass of a strong solution, and soon afterwards drank warm water; 16 , W. MOUTH
The gums became loosened and fell off in pieces, 13.
Mouth and fauces covered with a dirty-brown slough, which rendered the surface nearly insensible to touch (second day); the sloughs adhered firmly to the mouth and fauces (third day); the sloughs in the mouth began to separate, and burning heat in the fauces and gullet immediately supervened (fourth day); during the following week large portions of though matter, sometimes firm and adherent like leather, were brought up by coughing, hawking, or vomiting; gradually the surface, so far as could be seen, became clean, though raw, and the burning and pain on wallowing were most distressing; after a month had elapsed the mouth and fauces began to assume a more healing appearance; the pain and difficulty of swallowing diminished, 15. Tongue, gums and fauces were shockingly destroyed, the cuticle appearing as if destroyed with a hot iron, while the inside of the cheeks, roof of the mouth, and velum were entirely inflamed (after one hour), 14.
THROAT
Every attempt to swallow gave great pain (after one hour), 14.
Nausea and vomiting with the most violent pains in the stomach, 13.
Inclination to vomit on pressing over epigastric region (second day), 15.
Vomiting, almost immediately; increased after drinking warm water, 13.

General Head.
A constant in the head as though something in it were loose , and turned and twisted toward the forehead, 1.
Rising heat in the head, in the evening, before lying down; disappearing in bed, 5.
Headache in the morning, on waking, lasting a quarter of an hour, for several mornings, 1.
During the menses, headache in the morning, with great heaviness, 5.
Headache relieved by sitting up in bed, aggravated by lying down, 1.
During the menses, great headache on the second day, from morning till evening, 4.
Violent headache for several hours, from walking in the open air, 1.
A feeling of fulness in the head, as if the brain pressed hard against the skull, 5.

Violent sticking in the forehead the whole day, and at times also in the left side of the head; together with severe pain in the chest and icy coldness of the limbs, 1.
Stitches in the upper part of the forehead and above the temples, on moving the lower jaw, 1.
Tearing in the left frontal eminence (twenty-fifth day), 2.
Throbbing and beating in the forehead, and especially in the sides of the head, frequently intermitting; also after dinner, while walking and standing, 5.
A digging throbbing in the frontal bone, above the left eye, 5.
Painless bubbling-like twitching of the muscles in the right temple, 2.
Vertex.
Headache in the vertex, when pressing upon the head, 1.

Parietals.
A severe heavy sensation in the left half of the head, 5.
