Common name: red coral.
Is useful in a combination of syphilis and psora (F.).
Congestion of blood to the face and head (after dinner).
Dry coryza; nose feels stopped up (Ars., Nux-V., Stict.) (Br.).
Painful ulcers in nostrils (Bor., Calc-S., Hep., Merc., Nit-Ac.) (Br.).
INSPIRED AIR FEELS COLD: (Æsc., Ant-C., Ars., Brom., Cist., Hydr., Kali-B.) (N.).
Profuse discharge of thick, yellow, and stringy mucus from nasal passages (Hydr., Kali-B., Nat-S.) (A.).
Epistaxis, especially at night (Bell., Carb-V., Merc., Nit-Ac., Puls.) (C.).
Profuse secretion of mucus through the posterior nares, obliging one to hawk frequently.
Is useful for cough like whooping cough. The night paroxysms are very severe (N.).
"MINUTE GUN COUGH" DURING THE DAY, AND WHOOPING COUGH AT NIGHT (A.).
May be used in any kind of cough, when the attack comes on with a very rapid cough, and the attacks follow so closely as to almost run into each other (G.).
Feels suffocated and greatly exhausted after whooping cough (Br.).
Laryngismus stridulus (Brom., Chlor., Iod., Phos., Samb.) (Bl.).
Paroxysms of violent, spasmodic cough, commencing with gasping for breath, and continuing with repeated crowing inspirations, until the patient grows purple or black in the face (Dn.).
REDDISH ULCERS ON THE PENIS, VERY SENSITIVE TO CONTACT (Hep.).
Chancroids or soft chancres (Merc., Nux-V.) may find a swift and sure cure in Cor-R. (N.).
Has also been found useful in chancre. The ulcer is red (coral red), flat and exceedingly sensitive. Sometimes painful (N.).
Chancres on any part of penis or scrotum (N.).
Sexual power weakened (Calad., Nux-V., Sel., Sulph.),
Profuse perspiration on the genitals (Aur., Calad., Fluor-Ac., Hydr., Lyc., Merc., Petr., Sel., Sep., Sil., Thuj.) (Br.).
Short, quick and ringing cough (D.).
Cough as soon as he eats (Ant-T., Ars., Bry., Carb-V., Coc-C., Ipec., Kali-B., Nux-V., Phos., Rumx., Sep.) (B.).
Difficult and oppressed respiration (Brom., Carb-V., Lach., Phos., Sulph.) (C.).

Copper-coloured spots on the skin (Carb-An., Merc., Kali-I., Nit-Ac., Syph., Thuj.) (Br.).
Too hot if covered, but chilled by uncovering (B.).
There are smooth spots on the surface of the body mostly on the palms of the hands. At first they are of a coral-red hue, but they finally become darker, and assume the well-known copper colour, characteristic of syphilis (F.).
LONGING FOR ACIDS AND SALT FOOD (Arg-N., Calc., Calc-S., Carb-V., Con., Med., Merc-I-F., Nat-M., Phos., Plb., Sulph., Thuj., Verat.).
Head feels too large (Arg-N., Bell., Glon., Nux-M., Nux-V., Ran-B.)
Very violent headache, as if the parietal bones were forced asunder; aggravated by stooping (C.).
AGGRAVATION: From deep inspiration; at night; from stooping; after dinner; from touch; from uncovering; and in open air.
AMELIORATION: From covering.
