MIND
- Emotional.
- Mind clear, but very much excited (after two hours), 11.
- For some days before menstruation she was very much excited and uneasy, 9.
- Music, or anything else that caused emotional excitement, she took very much to heart, and she could not refrain from weeping, 9.
- She was depressed; the longing for death constantly became greater, 9.
- Towards evening her spirits were much depressed, and she was doubtful whether she would ever be well again, 9.
- She was very despondent, and constantly wished to cry (after forty-eight hours), 9.
- Very fretful in the morning, 9.
- She was constantly excited; peevish, and obstinate, 9.

- When she undertakes to accomplish anything and has gone ten or twelve steps, she remains standing, and does not know what she had intended to do (after eight hours), 9.

HEAD
- Confusion and Vertigo.
- Confusion of the head, with some vertigo, 10.
- Dulness and confusion of the head (after one hour); her thoughts disappear for a moment, so that she knows nothing; this attack is frequently repeated during the day (after one hour), 9.
- Confusion in the left side of the head, with throbbing in it, which afterwards involves the upper back teeth, where it causes periodic grumbling, 9.
- The whole head is confused; throbbing and beating in the vertex, 9.
- Vertigo, 12, 13 ; (soon after 1 drop), 5 ; (lasting a quarter of an hour, after two minutes), 8. [20.]
- Vertigo, everything turned around with him (after two hours), 1.
- She was attacked with vertigo on the street, in the morning, so that she reeled backwards and forwards, and was obliged to lean against a house, as if intoxicated, and on account of it she returned to the house, when the vertigo disappeared (after half an hour), 9.
- Stupefying vertigo, 7.
- Whirling vertigo (half an hour after second dose), 8.
- Whirling vertigo in the crown, lasting five minutes (five minutes after 1 drop), 4.
- Whirling in the head; is she turned herself suddenly she would fall down, 9.
- Dizziness, on account of which he could not stand or walk long at a time (after three days), 6.
- Very dizzy, so much so that she could not bear to be lifted from the pillow (after two hours), 11.
- General Head.
- Dulness of the head; she looks straight ahead and does not know at what; she hears and sees nothing, and is completely without thought (after six hours), 9.
- Heaviness and confusion of the head, 12. [30.]
- General weariness in head, 13.
- Emotional disturbances cause headache, 9.
- Headache, with sleepiness, 9.
- Headache, with a feeling of heat in front of the forehead, 9.
- Headache, as if she were intoxicated, the whole day, .
EYE
- Objective. [90.]
- The eyes look as if she had been weeping, 9.
- Blue rings around the eyes (after three days), 6 ; (after twelve hours), 5 ; (after twenty-four hours), 4.
- Eyes fixed, but pupils neither dilated nor contracted, 13.
- Subjective.
- Increased feeling of warmth in the eyes; if she looks at a bright light the eyes begin to water, 9.
- Much heat in the eyes constantly, with lachrymation (after two days), 9.
- Pressure, burning, and fire in the eyes, mingled with heat and lachrymation, with a feeling as if something were in them; after these pains had lasted five hours she lay down and slept half an hour, and when she woke the eyes were agglutinated, 9.
- Sleep at night was disturbed by pressure and burning in the eyes; on account of this she was unable to sleep, and lay awake till towards morning, then slept somewhat, and in the morning on waking the eyes were agglutinated (after twelve hours), 9.
- Sticking-tearing pain in the left eye, lasting three-quarters of an hour), 4.
- Sticking-tearing pain in the left eye lasting three-quarters of an hour, 4 ; (immediately after the second dose); returning (after one hour and a half), but very transient, and alternating with transient tearing stitches in the right eye, 8.

- Itching in the eyes, so that she is obliged to rub them; after rubbing there is biting in them, and the whites of the eyes look as if much inflamed, with pressure as if there were sand in them, 9.
- Brow and Orbit.
- Pressure above both eyes, lasting three-quarters of an hour, in the evening (after quarter of an hour), 5.
- Pressure above both eyes (worse above the right), lasting five hours (after half an hour), 8.
- Pressure above the right eye, lasting an hour (immediately after the dose), 5.
- Confused pressure above the eyes, 4.
- A dull pressure above the superciliary ridge, as with a plug, which extends to the occiput (after a quarter of an hour), .
EAR
- External.
- Inflammation of the whole left external ear, which is glowing hot, scarlet, much swollen, with tensive burning pains, 9.
- A pimple in the left upper concha, on account of which the whole external ear becomes inflamed swollen, hot to the touch, with burning pains; therewith the whole left side of the neck becomes stiff, with tensive pain; he cannot turn the head well towards the left, towards the right it is free; the pains extend through the shoulder and down into the middle of the arm, together with internal shivering through all the limbs, without subsequent heat or thirst, with heat in the forehead and pressure above the eyes, as if they would be pressed together, 9.
- Ears hot and red, they burn as on coming from the cold into a warm room, with cold feet (after five hours), 9. [130.]
- A jerking-sticking in the right antitragus, which was somewhat swollen and stiff, with sticking pain on touch (after twenty-four hours), 9.
- Middle Ear.
- Cramplike pain in the left ear, 9.
- Aching in the ear (periodic after the sixth dose), 10 ; (after twenty-four hours), 8.
- A pressing-out or dull sticking or ringing in the ears, 10.
- Drawing-sticking in the inner portion of the left ear, extending even over the outer portion (after five days), 9.
- Stitches in the right ear, 9.
- Some stitches, as with needles, within the left ear, 9.
- Pain composed of several stitches extending from the top of the right shoulder into the lower portion of the ear (after twenty-nine hours), 9.
- Bubbling and twinging in the right ear, frequently repeated, 9.
- Itching in the ears and in the soles of the feet, 9. [140.]
- A bubbling pressing-asunder pain in the right ear, 9.
- Hearing.
- Hearing more difficult than usual, for three days before menstruation, 9.
- Difficulty of hearing during menstruation, 9.
- A humming before both ears, worse before the left, with difficult hearing; at times the humming ceases for a moment, when she is conscious of a ringing and hissing in the head, .
NOSE
- Objective.
- Sneezing, 9.
- Sneezing five or six times in succession (after half an hour), 9.
- Sneezing in the morning, 9.
- Frequent sneezing in the morning, without trace of catarrh (in several persons), 9. [150.]
- Frequent sneezing, with moisture in the nose, 9.
- Frequent sneezing; the nose was not stopped, and yet it seemed as though there was want of air in the nose (after thirty-six hours), 9.
- The nose is constantly moist, so that she is frequently obliged to blow it, 9.
- Fluent catarrh; when she draws air through the nose it feels too sharp in the posterior nares, 9.
- Stopped catarrh, which after twelve hours became fluent, with an acrid feeling of rawness beneath the sternum, 9.
- Bleeding of the nose, 7.
- Bleeding of the nose, several times, 5.
- Nosebleed of thin bright-red blood, in the morning, 9.
- Nosebleed of thick and black blood, 9.
- Subjective.
- It seems as though she had catarrh; a sensation as though the mucous membrane of the nose would become swollen (after one hour), 9. [160.]
- Pressive sensation above the root of the nose, for ten days, 7.
- Smell.
- On waking in the morning she had an offensive odor in front of the nose (after twenty hours), 9.
- Offensive odor in the nose, which she cannot exactly specify, with loss of appetite, 9.
FACE
- Objective.
- Pale face, 1.*
- Paleness and puffiness of the face, 6.
- Countenance very pale, 14.
- Countenance fuller and more flushed than natural, 13.
- Subjective.
- Tearing in the right side of the face, that commences in the angle of the lower jaw, and extends up into the temple; in the evening, 9.
- Dryness of the lips, as if he had much internal heat, though without thirst, 9.
- Dryness of the lips; the upper lip desquamates, is constantly not and causes tension, 9. [170.]
- Upper lip feels sore and is cracked, 9.
- A contractive tension and burning about the right corner of the mouth, with a feeling as if the right half of the lower lip were drawn towards the right corner of the mouth; in the evening, 9.
- Tearing in the angle of the right lower jaw at night wakes her from sleep several times, it extends towards the ear and then causes sticking, 9.
MOUTH
- Teeth.
- Drawing toothache diffused itself over the temporal region, 9.
- Drawing toothache in the upper and lower incisors the whole day, 9.
- Drawing toothache commences in the left lower back teeth, and then involves the upper back teeth; as soon as the pain ceases here it begins in the upper front teeth, 9.
- She woke at 5 A.M., with drawing-tearing toothache in the left upper jaw, afterwards involving the muscles of the face and temple of the same side, and lasting till noon; therewith the teeth are swollen and seem too long, 9.
- Dull throbbing pain in the third upper back tooth, which is beginning to decay, 8.
- Jerking pains in a somewhat hollow back tooth of the left lower jaw, with frequent yawning, 9.
- Gums.
- Drawing pains in the gum of the left upper jaw; the gum looks inflamed, 9.
- Tongue. [180.]
- Tongue coated white, 6.*
- Tongue clean, but pale, and as if withered, with thin saliva in the mouth, no appetite but much thirst; the throat was constantly dry, on which account she was obliged to drink much (after twenty-four hours), 9.
- General Mouth.
- Mouth and throat white, having the same appearance as parts to which the drug had been intentionally applied (after two hours), 11.
- Burning in mouth, throat, and stomach (after three hours and a half), 11.
- Saliva.
- Accumulation of water in the mouth, 10.
- Mouth slimy; constantly obliged to spit much, in the evening, 9.
- Frothing at the mouth, 14.
- Taste.
- Flat taste; taste of straw in the mouth, 9.
- Bitter taste in the mouth, in the morning (after twenty-four hours), 9.
- Bitter taste in the throat, in the evening, on account of which she cannot relish her food (after twelve hours), 9. [190.]
THROAT
- Throat presented a diphtheritic appearance; the burnt parts sloughing away (after twenty-four hours), 11.
- Some sensation of dryness in the throat, with scraping, lasting for several hours, 9.
- A feeling as if mucus were seated in the throat, which constantly provokes hawking; after a time expectoration of whitish sweetish-tasting mucus (after half an hour), 9.
- Pain in the throat (after twenty-four hours), 11.
- A retching painful sensation low down in the throat, extending through the chest as far as behind the dorsal vertebræ, 9.
- Burning in the throat, 8. [200.]
- Pressure on the right side of the throat when swallowing, 9.
- A sore pain on swallowing on the left side of the throat internally, with a feeling as though something were hanging there, which he could not swallow, easily, 9.
- Scraping in the throat, 9.
- Scraping in the throat, as after brandy containing fusel oil, 9.

- Scraping in the throat when coughing, with thick, lump expectoration, in the evening, 9.
- Tonsils.
- Soreness of the left tonsil on swallowing (after six hours), 8.

- Dryness in the fauces; they seem agglutinated the whole afternoon, 8.
- Burning pain along œsophagus tract, 13.
- It was almost impossible for her to swallow (after twenty-four hours), 11.
STOMACH

- Great appetite, 8.
- Gnawing feeling of hunger (after two hours), 1.
- She has an appetite, but not relish for food, together with a feeling of fulness as if she had already eaten a great deal (after twenty-four hours), 9.
- Desire for tobacco at an unusual time, 8.
- Loss of appetite (after three days), 6.
- Complete loss of appetite, 9.
- The hunger which he had before taking the drug disappeared afterwards, for several hours, 9.
- Thirst.
- Thirst after the chill, 9.
- Eructation.
- Eructations (after quarter of an hour), 1.
- Violent eructations, soon after a dose, 4. [220.]
- Empty eructations, 10.
- Eructations of air (after half an hour), 8.
- Eructations of air after dinner, followed by spitting of frothy saliva, and a scraping raw sensation in the throat, lasting a quarter of an hour, 9.
- Eructations of tasteless white froth one or two days before menstruation; if these eructations do not occur, a mucous vomiting follows, 9.
- Acid eructations, 9.
- Nausea and Vomiting.
- Stomach inclined to be sick, 13.
- Nausea and efforts to vomit, 10.
- Nausea immediately, as if she would vomit (which she did not do), with burning in the mouth, 9.
- She becomes nauseated, with spitting of saliva and chilliness through the whole body, without subsequent heat and thirst, 9.
- Retching, 10. [230.]
- Violent urging (to vomit) every few minutes, nothing but saliva resulting, 14.
- Retching (like that she had formerly had during the first months of pregnancy), in the morning fasting (after half an hour), 9.
- Retching of water and mucus without taste, with dryness of the nose, heat in the forepart of the head, as if everything would press out at the forehead, coldness of the hands and feet, with thirst in the morning on rising, .
ABDOMEN
- Hypochondria.
- Pressive pain in the hepatic region, and a gnawing beneath the left short ribs, as if a worm were gnawing, 9.
- When she rises in the morning and immediately sits down, she is attacked by a pressive pain in the region of the spleen, which is associated with other symptoms, and makes her quite weak; but if she walks around and does not sit down the pain does not occur; the pain is also caused by even slight external pressure, 9 . (Compare 2, 249, 261, 270, 311, 322, 412, 544.)
- A constant sticking pain in the right side beneath the false ribs, in the hepatic region, not affected by inspiration, lasting six hours (after thirty-six hours), 9.
- Pain in the upper anterior lobe of the liver, as if bruised, which caused a feeling of fulness, so that she was constantly obliged to loosen her clothes in that place, 9.
- Umbilical and Sides.
- A quiet pain about the umbilicus that she was often subject to after eating acid things, 9.
- A quiet pain above and about the umbilicus, which cannot be easily described, or a feeling as though she had drunk some acid (carbonated) water, with ill-humor, lasting thirty-six hours (after twenty-four hours), 9.
- A pain as from a cold in the umbilical region, as if diarrhœa would occur, 9.
- Clawing about the umbilicus, with a pain as from ulceration in the whole abdomen, lasting five days, 9. [250.]
- A clawing and griping pain about the umbilicus, relieved by stooping, the day before menstruation; as the pain ceased, some white mucus was discharged from the vagina, that colored the linen white, 9.
- Woke between 2 and 3 A.M., on account of a contractive sensation in the abdomen; a feeling as though a lump were lying in the umbilical region and had twisted itself tightly together, 9.
- A grasping and griping pain about the umbilicus, that extends up into the throat and causes nausea, with efforts to vomit (after thirty-six hours), 9.
- A painful lump is felt in the umbilical region, as if it were tightly twisted together, 9.
- A zigzag sticking about the umbilicus (the lightning-like stitches shoot now downward, now upward, now backward, now forward), followed by a sudden stitch shooting towards the left mamma, where it ends; lasting half an hour (after three days), 9.
- Colic about the umbilicus, as if diarrhœa would occur; she was obliged to crouch quite together; it omits for awhile and then recurs at different periods, .
RECTUM
- Large painful hæmorrhoids (after four days), 6.
- Cramplike pains in the rectum, which extended upward into the flank, so that she was obliged to walk quite bent over, and to sit down very cautiously (after forty-two hours), 3.
- Pressure on the rectum necessitating a stool, but emission of only flatus, 9.
- Several successive stitches in the rectum during menstruation, which shoot upward to the left flank, and there remain for awhile, so that she is obliged to stand up, 9.
- Drawing, tearing, and sticking in the rectum, with frequent pressure to stool, without being able to accomplish anything; but a hard stool followed after thirty-six hours, with much pressure, after which all pains ceased (after twenty-four hours), 9.
- An uneasiness, a crawling or dragging in the rectum, which returns several times a day and only disappears after a stool, 10.
STOOL
- Diarrhœa.
- Stool more frequent and more easy than usual, so that I generally had one or two copious, soft, often pasty evacuations (was usually constipated, with a movement every two to four days), 10.
- Two or three stools a day, not diarrhœa-like, 9. [300.]
- Two normal stools in the morning, without pain, 9.
- She has two quite natural stools a day, contrary to habit (in a constipated person), 9.
- Constipation.
- Constipation , for five days, 6.*
- During menses, stool and flatulence accumulate in the rectum for a longer time than usual (feels there a pressure with emission of flatus); after which the menstrual blood always flows very profusely, and is frequently in clots, 9.
- Stool hard, dry, nodular, with much pressure and only every three or four days, 9.
URINARY ORGANS
- Micturition.
- Excessive urging to urinate, she cannot get out of bed quick enough ; with constrictive pain in the vagina (after twelve hours), 9.*
- Frequent emission of hot urine, 9.
- She was frequently obliged to urinate, but passed very little clear urine each time, 9.
- She urinates six or seven times a day; always with great haste, and always passing a great deal, 9.*
- Was obliged to urinate every hour, and each time passed much clear urine (she usually urinated but twice daily), 9.* [310.]
- She was obliged to urinate very half hour, from 4 A.M., till noon; each time she passed over half a pint (after five days), 9.*
- Micturition at night, she was obliged to rise frequently on account of it, 9.
- Urging to urinate, towards evening, she was also frequently obliged to rise at night to urinate, 9.
- Pressure on the bladder at night, that she always had shortly before childbirth, which causes a sensation through the whole body as if in labor; she was obliged to rise three times at night to urinate, and each time she passed much hot clear urine (after three days), 9.
- Obliged to rise every hour at night to urinate, and always passed much clear urine, without having drunk anything (after twelve to eighteen hours), 9.
- Frequent micturition, but only a spoonful passed each time, 9.
- Although she drank more than usual, she passed scarcely half the usual amount of urine, 9.
- She was obliged to rise frequently at night to urinate, but passed only a little, 9.
- The urine spurts from her during each cough, 9.
- The urine passed in a weak stream, 9. [320.]
- Strangury, 15.
- Strangury (in a woman who had taken a drop by accident). (Kuster).
- Very scanty discharge of urine, 9.
- Neither bladder nor bowels evacuated for twenty-four hours; Nux 3d seemed to relieve all morbid symptoms except those of the throat (after twenty-four hours), .
SEXUAL ORGANS
- During coition both the man and woman experienced burning pains in the genitals, and the first became affected with impotence; after some days there appeared a swelling on the penis, and in the woman menstruation occurred, with profuse dark-colored blood; after the menses had lasted four days she had leucorrhœa, which stained the linen gray, associated with swelling of the external genitals, itching and corroding, burning pains, 9.
- Pain as from an ulcer in the neck of the womb during coition; on the neck and below there is a hard lump; in the evening she had less pain in those parts than in the morning, 9.
- (Prolapsus of the vagina), 9.
- A white painless discharge from the vagina, 9. [340.]
- A painless white discharge from the vagina lasting several days, 9 . [After two doses of Kreosote 6th, in a woman who had never had leucorrhœa.]
- A white discharge from the vagina, preceded by pain in the small of the back and heat of the face; it runs from her as though she were having her menses (after five days), 9.
- The discharge from the vagina frequently looks quite white, and then has the odor of green corn, 9.*
- The frequent urging to urinate is always preceded by a white discharge from the vagina, which colors the clothes yellow, and is not acrid, 9.
- A periodic white discharge from the vagina between the menses, 9.
- Discharge of mucus mixed with blood from the vagina, on rising in the morning (after seventy-two hours), 9.
- *Leucorrhœa of a yellow color, also staining the linen yellow, with great weakness of the limbs, 9.
- A constant discharge of leucorrhœa for four days, without sensation, 9.
- The leucorrhœa stains the linen like the washings of meat, and has an offensive odor, 9.
- The leucorrhœa forms a whitish-yellow spot as large as a quarter of a dollar on the linen, *is acrid, causes itching and biting on the external genitals, 9. [350.]
- After the leucorrhœa had lasted twenty-four hours, it ceased, and then she felt very weak (after three days), 9.
- (The leucorrhœa becomes less and has not so strong an odor), 9.
RESPIRATORY ORGANS
- Larynx and Bronchi.
- Secretion of mucus in the larynx, which provokes coughing (four hours after second dose), 8.
- A crawling in the lower portion of the larynx, provoking cough, 9.
- A crawling in the uppermost bronchial tubes towards evening, which provokes cough (after seven hours), 9.
- Voice.
- Hoarseness in the morning, which disappears after sneezing, 9. [380.]
- Voice raw, hoarse, with scraping in the throat, 9.
- Cough and Expectoration.
- Cough, caused by a sensation as if mucus were seated in the middle of the chest, which was not loosened, 9.
- Cough, with retching, 9.
- Cough, with efforts to vomit, but only a discharge of some saliva, 9.
- Cough, with emission of urine, 9.
- Incessant cough, with much sleepiness, chilliness for an hour followed by dry heat, during which the child continued to sleep ("grippe"), 9.
- Constantly mucus in the throat, easy to loosen, provokes an incessant, hollow, and rough-sounding cough, 9.
- Dry cough, with scraping in the throat, and soreness in the chest, 9.
- A crawling and tickling in the middle of the chest, provoking a dry spasmodic cough that persists until retching follows; in the morning, 9.
- Whistling dry cough, 9. [390.]
- Cough difficult to loosen, 9.
- Cough, with white mucous expectoration, easily loosened, and a scraping feeling in the throat, 9.
- Cough, with expectoration of very firm gelatinous mucus (after half an hour), 1.
- A scrapy raw sensation beneath the breast-bone obliged her to cough, and after coughing several times she expectorated some gray tasteless mucus, whereupon the cough ceased (after seventy-two hours), 9.
- (Hooping cough), 9.
- Respiration.
- He is frequently obliged to take a deep breath, 9.
- She is very frequently obliged to take a deep inspiration, on account of a feeling of heaviness in the chest (after twenty-four hours), .
CHEST
- Heaviness on the chest, with transient stitches (after a quarter of an hour), 8.
- Feeling of heaviness in the lower portion of the chest, so that expiration was difficult, 9.
- A sensation of heaviness in the middle of the chest, with shortness of breath, so that she was frequently obliged to take a deep breath (after half an hour), 9.
- A burning as if she had drunk brandy, extending from the middle of the chest up into the throat; even the tongue is painful as if it had been burnt, with heat, redness, and tension in the face (after half an hour), 9.
- Dreadful burning in the chest ; wanted water to quench the burning in the lungs (after a few minutes), 14.*
- Fulness and oppression of the chest appeared on deep breathing, lasting several hours (after three hours), 8.
- Dull pain in the chest from 12 to 1 o'clock, 8.
- The whole internal chest is painful as if pressed inward; not at all affected by inspiration (after twenty-four hours), 9. [410.]

- Dull pain behind the right scapula, with a feeling as of a plug, at times throbbing, lasting all day (after one hour), 8.

- Some stitches coming and going between the scapulæ, 9.
- The scapulæ are painful as if hey had been beaten, 9.

- Pain in the lumbar vertebræ like that usual before menstruation, 9.
- Painfulness of the lumbar vertebræ and both iliac crests, as if she had run a long distance; this painfulness or bruised feeling extended into the thighs and down to the calves where it ended like an electric shock; a stiffness and inflexibility remain in the lumbar vertebræ, in the morning, 9.
- One of the upper lumbar vertebræ pains as if suppurating, or as if flesh were torn from it, and causes a sensation (on standing up) as if something would fall out there, 9.
- Violent pains in the lumbar vertebræ like a suppuration, with pressure downward towards the rectum, as if flatus would pass, which does not follow, during menstruation; before this the pains in the back were relieved by motion, 9.
- Pain in the small of the back, that almost, made her sick, worse during rest than during motion, 9.
EXTREMITIES IN GENERAL
- Weary and weak in the limbs as if she had walked a long distance, 9.
- She feels sick in all the limbs, as if she were going to be attacked with catarrh, 9.

- Pains in both shoulders as if they were pressed against sharp corners, 9.
- Stitches in the posterior portion of the shoulder-joint, which shoot through the whole arm to the fingers; in the fingers they cause a sensation as if asleep, with a powerless sensation, and actual loss of power, so that she cannot hold anything tightly with the hands as usual; when there are no stitches, there is a jerking in the hands with crawling and heat in them (after thirty hours), 9.
- Stitches in the right shoulder about 4 P.M.; half an hour later, several stitches in the left side of the chest, and about 6 P.M. very violent drawing pain in the left foot (after three days), 9.

- Paralytic heaviness of the right upper arm, 8.
- Dull, almost gnawing pain in the bone of the right upper arm, 8.
- Pinching pain in the inner side of the left upper arm, 9.
- Elbow.
- A cramplike sensation in the tip of the right elbow while writing, so that she is almost unable to write (after half an hour), 9.
- Periodic pains in both elbow-joints, as if the ligaments were drawn together and were too short, 9.
- A pain on the inner side and lower portion of the upper arm, as if she had bruised it, noticed only on touch (after forty-eight hours), 9.
- A spasmodic bubbling-like pain on the inner and lower portion of the left elbow-joint, returning at various intervals; in the abdomen (after eight hours), 9.
- Forearm.
- Paralytic-like pain shooting like lightning towards the left hand, so that she constantly lets everything fall (after twenty-four hours), 1.
- A cramplike pain in the region of the lower portion of the left ulna, that extends into the fingers, 9.
- Drawing pains in the left forearm, extending to the fingers, 9.

INFERIOR EXTREMITIES
- Weakness of the left leg; he has no steadiness in it, 9.
- Drawing-tearing and sticking pains, now in the right calf, now above the knee, now in the region of the hip-joint, lasting five minutes, then disappearing for as long a time, and then again returning; the pains always appeared with great violence, so that she started every time, together with itching and burning in the eyes, so that she was obliged to rub them; afterwards there was burning in the eyes, and much accumulation of fatty matter in the inner canthi, so that she must frequently cleanse them, 9.
- Hip.
- A pain in the left hip-joint as though it were dislocated; if he stands on the right foot there is a sensation in the left limb as if the foot were too long, 9.
- Thigh.
- A painful tension in the fascia lata of the left thigh, 9.
- Tensive pain in the posterior portion of the thigh, as if she had taken a long walk, especially felt while walking and on stooping, 9.
- A pain in the muscles of the thigh three inches above the left patella, as if they were too short, worse on stooping and when walking, not aggravated by touch or external pressure, 9.
- A drawing pain as if in the bone extending from the right ischium down into the middle of the thigh, on the outer side, with chilliness (after eight hours), 9.
- Drawing pains extending from the head of the right femur into the knee-joint, so that she can scarcely ascend steps; noticed more during rest than motion, and lasting several days, 9.
- Painful drawing mingled with stitches commencing in the thigh and extending through the limb to the sole of the foot, worse in the right leg and very much aggravated by motion, 9. [520.]
- Cramplike drawing extending from the lumbar vertebræ forward and down the thighs; it is quite similar to labor-pains; with great uneasiness in the whole body, as if she were about to have a labor, 9.
- A pain in the middle of the muscles of the left thigh as if she had received a hard blow or bruise, worse while sitting (after twenty-four hours), 9.
- Dull gnawing pain on the outer side of the left thigh and leg, worse while sitting (after ten hours), 8.
- A jerking pain three inches above the left knee, in the fleshy parts; during rest, 9.
- A piercing jerking in the middle of the left thigh; during rest (after eight hours), .
GENERAL SYMPTOMS
- Objective.
- Appetite not diminished, but I lost flesh, 10.
- Twitching of the muscles of all parts of the body, and spasmodic jerking of the whole body (after two hours), 11.
- Weariness, as though she had not slept enough, with a feeling of warmth in the eyes (after a quarter of an hour), 9.
- Weakness and prostration (after thirty-six hours), 4.*

- She was obliged to rise half an hour earlier than usual in the morning; was then attacked with faintness, which lasted an hour before she again felt well, 9.

- Uneasiness of the whole body; twitching of all the limbs (after one hour), 1.
- Uneasiness with chilliness through all the limbs, while sitting and walking, so that she frequently felt as if obliged to take a deep breath, which, however, was not possible, 9.
- Subjective.
- Insensible; whilst in this state a diseased molar tooth was extracted without apparently causing any pain; she did not know the tooth had been taken out, 14.
- Great excitement of the whole body, 9.
- A feeling as though all parts of the body were in motion, during rest, 9.
- Felt myself going very low (in a few minutes), 14.
- Felt numb all over (after a few minutes), 14.
- Pinching pain here and there, 9.
- Drawing in the whole body, 7.
- Pulse natural, but when she was quiet she felt a pulsation in all parts of the body, 9. [570.]
- Violent pulsation over the whole body, with a feeling as if the whole bloody wavered, during rest, not during motion, 9.
- Shocks through the whole body causing her to start, in the night during sleep, 9.
- All symptoms disappeared in a few hours under Kali bich., 11.
SKIN
- Objective.
- The skin in the hollows of the knees was red and scaly like a tetter, 9.
- Blue spots on the thighs as if caused by pinching, 9.
- The place becomes white without pain and without inflammation; after a few days it becomes dry and the epidermis scales off (from the external application), 2.
- Eruptions, Dry.
- The whole forehead is covered with pimples of the size of millet-seeds; (sometimes causing sticking pains, but always remaining the same, and never filled with serum), 9.
- The whole right hand is covered with pimples, which are more felt than seen, and itch so violently that she is obliged to scratch them; the itching is worse towards evening, and in the evening in bed, 9.
- A pimple as large as a pea on the spine of right scapula, painful to the pressure of the clothes; after three days it became covered with a crust, which soon fell off, 10.
- An eruption of urticaria-like nodes; they lasted two or three days and then disappeared, during which time new ones constantly made their appearance, 9.
- Eruptions, Moist. [580.]
- A vesicular eruption (as from the bite of a bug) breaks out over the whole body, excepting on the calves, chest, and face, which are free; the itching is worse in the evening between 5 and 7 and in the night, 9.
- Hydroa beneath the nose (without any coryza), 10.
- Eruptions, Pustular.
- The whole body became covered with large and "fatty" pustules (like small-pox), 9.
- (The whole body became covered with "fatty" itching pimples; the feet were somewhat swollen and quite stiff), 9.
- A small pustule in the wing of the right nostril, 10.
- "Fatty" pimples on the chin and on the right cheek, upon which form yellow, honeylike crusts, 9.

- Itching over the whole body, she cannot refrain from scratching; on the body the itching ceases after scratching, which causes no further sensation, but on the arms and limbs is followed by violent burning, 9.
- The itching in the evening became so violent that she was almost crazy, .*
SLEEP AND DREAMS
- Sleepiness.
- Yawning the whole day, with lachrymation, 9.
- Yawning and stretching as before the paroxysms of ague, 9.
- Frequent yawning, in the morning, as though she had not slept at night, 9.
- Frequent yawning, with pressive pain in the forehead and weariness, 9.
- Frequent yawning, with chilliness, 9.

- Sleepiness and much yawning, with a bad taste in the mouth and little appetite (after six days), 9.

- She could seldom fall asleep before midnight; she had a feeling as if she was unable to fall asleep on account of weariness, with pain in all the limbs, 9.
- She is very weary, yet cannot sleep, but tosses about in bed all night till 4 A.M., when regular menstruation sets in, after which she sleeps for an hour, 9.
- For three nights she did not sleep before 1 or 2 o'clock, and then her sleep was mingled with many dreams; on waking at 7 both arms as far as the elbows were asleep (after three days), 9.
- Sleep restless, 5.
- She had no rest after 3 o'clock at night; she tossed about from place to place, 9.
- Sleep bad; she cannot lie to suit her; in the morning the eyes are agglutinated, 9.
- Sleep bad; she tossed about in bed the whole night, turning from one side to the other, and knew no reason why she could not sleep; in the morning on rising the whole body felt weary, and on the slightest physical exertion warm perspiration ran down all over her; she was frequently obliged to sit down to rest; while standing she sank down; lasting twelve hours (after six days), 9. - She woke suddenly about 2 A.M., as if called; she was quite wide awake, and menstruation had come on, 9.
- She woke three or four times at night without any cause; after tossing about in bed for awhile she fell asleep again, and in the morning did not feel weak, 9.
FEVER
- Chilliness.
- Chilliness (after six hours), 8 ; the whole forenoon, 4.
- As soon as she became quiet she felt chilliness through the whole body, 9. [630.]
- Chilliness over the whole body; the skin seemed dead, with a feeling through the whole body as if she had revelled all night and bad not slept; in the morning after two hours chilliness over the whole body, so that she really shivered, with great heat in the face, bright-red cheeks, icy-cold feet and a feeling of heaviness from the shoulders to the elbows, so that she was unable to carry them to the head; during rest the pains were not felt, but only on motion, with great fretfulness, lasting from 10 A.M. to 10 P.M.; during the night she slept well and was quite well in the morning (after four hours), 9.
- Much chilliness, without heat and without thirst, during the menses, 9.
- Internal chilliness, with red cheeks, in a warm room, 9.
- She easily became chilly, 9.
- She was chilly, the hands icy cold (after two hours), 9.
- Chilly for three days in succession, without thirst or subsequent heat, 9.
- She was constantly chilly, but still more during menstruation, 9.
- Shaking chill in the morning on rising from bed, with bright-red blood from the nose (after twenty hours), 9.
- Shaking chill for five hours, followed by heat of the face, hot hands and cold feet, mingled with chilliness from 2 to 11 P.M. (after four hours), 9.
- Shaking chill, with flushes of heat, without thirst, drawing and sticking pains in the forepart of both temporal bones, pressure in the eyeballs and an appearance as if a veil was before them, impairing vision, and on account of which she was obliged to rub the eyes; followed by hot and acrid tears and appearance of inflammation of the white of the eyes (after two hours), 9. - Shivering over the whole skin, 9.
- Alternations of chill and heat, with much thirst, weakness in all the limbs, uninterrupted cough, partly dry and partly loose, but very painful and racking, caused by irritation in the lower portion of the chest, and by a crawling in the middle of the chest up into the throat; the epigastric region was very much shaken by the cough; it was accompanied by pressive pain in the middle of the vertex, which was aggravated by touch, 9.
- Chilliness between the shoulders, extending up the back, so that she could not get warm by the stove; during menstruation, .

- Chilliness about 9 P.M., first in the feet, then in the back, head, and arm, where she was chilly to the fingers, with a feeling as though the parts were cold, which however was not the case, lasting only a minute (after thirty-six hours), 9.
- She was chilly from the backs of the feet up to above the knees, 9.
- Cold feet, 9.
- Heat.
- She woke after midnight, and felt too warm in bed; but if she put her feet out of bed she became cold, 9.
- Periodic flushes of heat, the cheeks became bright-red, the redness sharply defined, 9.
- Burning heat flashing over the whole body and limbs (after two hours), 11. [650.]
- She said "she was burning up" (after two hours), 11.
- Dry febrile heat (the cheeks seem painted) over the whole body, without thirst, soon followed by warm sweat; as soon as this stopped, the most violent drawing and sticking pains in the small of the back set in, which did not allow her to sleep during the night, and made turning over difficult, 9.
- An orgasm and throbbing in all the vessels, beginning in the epigastric region and extending through all parts of the body, worse on motion than during rest (after eighteen hours), 9.
- Slight fever (after twenty-four hours), 11.
- Very feverish through the whole body, with a good appetite, 9.
- Increased warmth of the face, and a feeling as if it would perspire, though it was dry, 9.
- A very agreeable warmth in the palms of the hands, immediately followed by warm sweat, in the morning in bed, and renewed at different times during the day, 9.
- Great heat of the face during the midday rest, with throbbing in the cheeks and forehead; the whole face looks brownish-red; after resting a little the heat of the face disappears, but the headache remains, and only ceases after a cup of coffee or a dose of Nux vom. 30, therewith, frequent urging to urinate till the next noon, 9.
- Constant heat of the face; she became short-breathed in the warm room, and was obliged to go into the open air, else she became faint, 9.
- Complained that her feet felt as if in the fire (after two hours), 11.
