Common name: mountain laurel.
Adapted to acute neuralgia, rheumatism and gouty complaints, especially when the heart is involved as a sequel of rheumatism and gout (A.).
Maddening supra-orbital pain (Spig.) (B.).
Severe stitching pain in the right eye and orbit (left eye- Spig.); stiffness in muscles, pain worse when turning the eyes (Spig.); begins at sunrise, aggravates at noon and leaves at sunset (Nat-M.) (A.).
Brachialgia (B.).
Pulse, very slow, weak and tremulous (Gels., Mur-Ac.) (B.).
Scarcely perceptible pulse (Carb-V.) (A.).
Useful in heart diseases that have developed from rheumatism, or alternate with it.

AGGRAVATION: When turning the eyes; at noon; from least movement; soon after going to bed; and during early part of the night.
AMELIORATION: After sun-set; from sitting; or when standing upright.
